"Aquarius"
She does not carry water to drink. She pours it to awaken
the world.
In this large A2 Art Nouveau watercolour, Aquarius appears as the
Water Bearer in a flowing blue gown, tipping a great vessel of star-lit water.
But look closer — she is Air, not Water. Her true element dances in the
butterflies tangled like thoughts in her hair, in the sacred Egyptian bird upon
her golden ochre necklace, in the blue and yellow ochre washes that lift the
whole painting like dawn air.
Blue for higher vision, yellow for intellect —
the two colors of Air breathing as one. Her Art Nouveau border tells her story:
open wings spread wide, a single feather falling, two owls — the keepers of
wisdom who see in the dark — and strange, beautiful glyphs of outer space,
because Aquarius has always belonged to the future.
Those born under Aquarius
(January 20 - February 18) are the visionaries, the humanitarians, the
brilliant eccentrics of the zodiac. Independent, inventive, deeply loyal to
humanity, they don't follow the current — they pour a new one. To have a print
of her on your wall is to invite that clear, brave air into your life.
A
reminder to think freely, to give freely, to trust the strange, beautiful ideas
that land in your hair like butterflies and have the courage to pour them out
onto the world.
