"Pisces"
She doesn't swim in water. She is water dreaming itself into
a woman.
In this Art Nouveau watercolour, Pisces appears as a dancer suspended
in the deep, her long hair billowing around her like ink in a current, like
sea-foam, like a prayer. She is caught mid-turn between two great fish — one on
her right surging upward, one on her left gliding down — the ancient symbol of
duality, of intuition and action, of soul and body swimming in opposite
directions yet forever tethered. She isn't leading them. She is dancing with
them.
She is rendered in washes of oceanic blues, soft violets and pearlescent
light, the very colors of her element, Water. Around her flows a lyrical Art
Nouveau border — more fish weaving through starry constellations, because
Pisces swims in both ocean and cosmos, and at the bottom, a garden of coral and
sea plants sways beneath delicate patterns of rippling water.
Those born under
Pisces (February 19 - March 20) are the dreamers, the empaths, the mystics of
the zodiac — compassionate to their core, endlessly creative, intuitive to the
point of knowing what you feel before you do. They feel everything, and that is
their superpower .
To bring a print of her into your home is to invite that
soft, healing magic in. A reminder to trust your intuition, to let yourself
float when the world tells you to swim hard, and to remember that sensitivity
is not weakness — it is how you hear the stars singing under the sea.
The
original watercolor painting is A2 in size.
