"Element of Fire" —
Element of Fire is pure, roaring, ecstatic energy. A great fire-dragon —
orange and gold and coal-black — rears over the canvas, mouth open, breathing a
torrent of white-hot flame not to destroy, but to ignite.
Below him, caught in
that blast, are two figures — two lovers, two friends, two wild souls — heads
thrown back, mouths open in a scream that is also a song, gripping a microphone
as if it were a wand. They are not being consumed by the fire. They are being
sung into existence by it.This is the dynamic of Fire: It does not ask
permission. It transforms.
The dragon is not the enemy. In every myth, the
dragon is the keeper of power, of treasure, of Kundalini. Here, he is the
Catalyst — the passion, the temper, the creative fury that lives above us until
we dare to invite it down. And the figures below are us when we finally say YES
— when inspiration strikes and you have to shout, dance, perform, create, even
if your voice shakes.
The sigils tell the story. Above the dragon's
wing, the alchemical symbol for Fire — the upward triangle. On the right
border, the three fire signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius — the Pioneer, the
Performer, the Seeker.
On the left, a double-ended wand tipped with stars — the
suit of Fire in Tarot, the spark of Will.Fire's characteristics are courage,
desire, action, rage, joy, libido, and illumination.
It is fast, hot, and
cannot be contained. This painting captures that split-second when fear turns into
exhilaration — when the fire that could burn you becomes the fire that fuels
you.Hang this where you need to remember your own heat. In your studio, your
practice room, your creative altar.
Element of Fire is for anyone who has
forgotten how loud they are allowed to be.
